The Trecastle Roman Road is part of an ancient Roman route that once connected key settlements across Wales. This road is believed to have been built during the Roman occupation, connecting the settlement of Brecon to the Roman forts and towns further to the north.

Similar to Trecastle, the Tirabad Roman Road is another segment of the Roman transportation network that ran through central Wales. These roads were essential for the movement of Roman military forces and supplies, and they often align with modern roads or trails.

The Llandrindod Golf Course that once saw the passage of Roman roads, is now home to a well-maintained 18-hole golf course. The golf course may not have direct ties to Roman infrastructure but sits within a landscape that was shaped by the Romans, with their roads forming part of the region’s heritage.

Located near Rhayader, a town in Powys, Wales, the Rhayader Golf Links is a golf course that sits in a region rich in history, with proximity to ancient Roman roads and settlements. The Rhayader Golf Links is another example of how the local geography, once used by the Romans for transport and defense, has been adapted into a recreational space for modern visitors.

These locations, while primarily associated with outdoor activities and historical exploration today, serve as fascinating points where the past and present converge, offering a glimpse into the long-lasting impact of the Romans on the Welsh landscape.
